Young activists who are held currently in detention - Emin Milli and Adnan Hajizada have refused participation in the investigation measures. According to the lawyer Isakhan Ashurov, the reason for this step is the fact that investigation materials have been falsified."According to young people, investigation is looking for fake proofs to prove their guilt instead of checking their statements," Ashurov said. According to the lawyer, the youth is sure that the investigation process will not be objective. That is why they demand the case to be transferred to the court as soon as possible.
According to Ashurov, Adnan's father Hikmat Hajizada has also claimed that Sabayil District Court has violated the article 8.1 of European Human Rights Convention. The claim is about the investigation not letting the detained to meet with their parents up to now. This is the reason why Hikmat Hajizada claims that his meeting right has been violated and wants the guilty party to be punished.
